Who already has a decent chassis on his Vespa but still wants to optimize something, which should cast an eye on the lowered shock absorber anchor plates from SIP PERFORMANCE . Aluminum CNC Black anodized 17,5mm lowering The shock absorber anchor plate is modeled after the original PIAGGIO part, but CNC machined from high strength aluminum and anodized black. Compared to the original shock mount, the shock sits here about 17.5mm further up, which makes the shock sit lower in the vehicle and the front is lowered accordingly, the swingarm angle becomes flatter. The resulting lower center of gravity and noticeably longer caster significantly improve driving stability and straight-line stability at higher speeds. The version with 17.5mm lowering is suitable for the SIP, ZELIONI and RacingBros shock absorbers. All other shock absorbers come here to their limits and stand on the anchor plate, so that no proper operation is guaranteed. Depending on the shock absorber and clearance on the front suspension, the front fender may need to be adjusted and a hole cut. Otherwise, the upper mounting bolt / nut of the shock absorber may collide with the fender. Important note: Not approved in the area of application of the German StVZO!
